Trends move fast. Home atmosphere doesn’t need to.

We want Pruneme to feel:

• easy to choose

• easy to gift

• easy to live with

• consistent enough to reorder confidently

So here are a few lines we don’t cross—not as a flex, but as a way to protect the experience.

1) We won’t do hype-based scent naming

No “shock factor” names designed to go viral.

A candle lives in your home. It should feel like it belongs there. We choose names that feel:

• calm

• modern

• giftable

• aligned with the actual scent mood

If the name is louder than the fragrance, the product becomes a joke you eventually stop wanting on your shelf.

Why: hype fades. kept objects stay.

2) We won’t chase “strongest candle ever” as the goal

Some people love loud throw. We respect that.

But for quiet luxury, the goal is different:

• balanced presence

• clean air feel

• structured unfolding over time

A candle can be “strong” and still feel harsh, flat, or chaotic. We’d rather design scents that feel expensive to live with.

Why: intensity is easy. balance is harder—and better.

3) We won’t overload the label with claims

Candle packaging can turn into a billboard fast:

• too many badges

• too many “free-from” lists

• too many declarations

We keep labels calm because we want the candle to feel like an object, not an advertisement.

Why: quiet luxury doesn’t shout.

4) We won’t do chaotic design or trend whiplash

Some brands change aesthetic every season. It’s exciting, but it creates drift.

We prefer a coherent world:

• consistent label rules

• consistent finishes

• a collection that looks intentional together

Why: you should be able to own multiple Pruneme candles and have them look like a set.

5) We won’t compromise finish for speed

A cheap finish usually shows up as small, annoying things:

• scuffed vessels

• misaligned labels

• dusty surfaces

• packaging that looks rushed

We’re not interested in “fast at any cost.” We’d rather ship fewer candles that arrive kept.

Why: the first impression is part of the product.

6) We won’t separate ourselves from the product

This is why we’re small-batch and why we don’t dropship.

If something’s off, we want to be close enough to:

• trace the run

• learn quickly

• improve the next batch

• make it right when needed
